Isaac Padiet School

Melut, South Sudan

Founded by Isaac Padiet in Utica, NY, Action Child Care Education of Southern Sudan (ACCESS) is a USA-based organization dedicated to the creation of educational opportunities for the children of Melut, Melut County, Upper Nile State, in south Sudan.

Our primary goal is to create an opportunity for the children of southern Sudan to receive a quality education. ACCESS aspires to be the catalyst that initiates and brings forth literacy at the grass roots level.  Our vision is to help students of southern Sudan to regain some of the education that they have lost during the time of war, to see children learn how to read and write in English, to help children develop independent thinking and communication skills in order for them to become the leaders of tomorrow, and to understand the politics of history and government so they can help to shape their future and that of their country.

Currently, the agency is working on securing funding for the construction of a primary school.  Future projects include the building of a high school, vocational school and health clinic.
