September 8, 2010 - Kansas City, MO, War Child, a film that centers on issues of war and peace in Sudan,
War Child tells the story of a Sudanese child solder, Emmanuel Jal, who is now a rapper and peace activist.  Sponsored by the Office of Human Rights at the Diocese of KC - St. Joseph.  Showing at 7:00 p.m. at the Screenland Armour, 408 Armour Road, Kansas City, MO  64116. 

November 18, 2010 - Overland Park, KS, Ten Thousand Villages will hold a Community Shopping Event to benefit Sudan Sunrise on Thursday, November 18th from 4 to 8 p.m. at their shop at 7947 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park KS 66204.  Sudan Sunrise will receive 15% of net sales during those hours.  If you have any questions about this event, contact Kendra Frink, Manager at (913) 642-8368.
